A new feature has been added to the Google Maps service, which allows
you to create a 'seven-digit' code based on your location and then share it with
others. This code is called plus code. These codes became available a few months
ago but are rarely used. Now Google has taken a step towards making it more usable
by offering direct options. This option appears when you click on the blue icon that shows
your location in the Google Maps app!
Plus codes are being used to indicate places where it would be difficult to specify an address.
Now you can just send this plus code instead of just stating the full address. This will make it
easier to reach the right place at the time when the essential services are needed. These plus codes
are designed to make their job easier when they come home looking for your address for essential services, delivery of goods or anything else.
Of course, they should be used more and more. The technology behind it is also
open source so anyone can use it for free.
If you pay close attention to Google Maps, you can see the location information,
plus phone number , websites, plus codes.
