The popularity and demand for video conferencing apps has grown exponentially
in times of simple lockdown. Whether from work from home or to discuss with
friends and relatives, the popularity of many apps like Zoom, Google Meet has
increased tremendously in the last few days. However, due to security and privacy
issues, the government had advised citizens not to use the Zoom app. The government
had also appealed to Indian startups to create an Indian video conferencing app.
Among them, a Mumbai-based startup 'Inscripts' has created an Indian video
conferencing app 'Se Namaste'.
Previously, only the web version was available. But now 'Se Namaste' app is also
available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
The 'Se Namaste' app can accommodate up to 50 people on group video calls. This
app has many features like screen sharing, text mode, file sharing. Users can also send
text messages while the video call is on. Apart from this, users can also send documents,
PDFs, presentations, photos, video files during video calling.
Joining and creating a meeting room is very easy in this app. All you have to do is
click on Start or Join Meeting, Create Code and Connect. So far, the app has been
downloaded by more than 1 lakh users on the Play Store, and the app is only 22.54MB
with a 4.3 stars rating on the Play Store and the Apple App Store.
